Upload and share

Upload means sending a copy to Hugame. A draft is private: it is not in the arcade yet.

1. Sign in

Sign in to your Hugame account. You can upload and share unlisted games without setting your birthday. Making a game public requires a saved birth month and year in your profile and an age of 13 or older.

2. Send the ZIP

When your game is ready, you can simply ask the agent for a zip.

Create a zip in hugame format.

Then open the upload page and drag the zip there.

3. Play the private preview

Go to my games, find the game you just uploaded, and click the “Preview” link.

Open your private preview. Test a full round and the controls. Check that all pictures and sounds work. This preview is for the account holder; it is not a public play link.

If you find any unexpected errors, simply fix it locally and re-upload.

4. Choose who can play

When your game is ready, change its visibility to “Unlisted” to let anyone with the link play. If you are 13 or older and have saved your birthday, you can choose “Public” so the game can also appear in game listings. Open the game and share its link with your friends.

Ready?

  • I’m signed in.
  • The upload passed its checks.
  • I played the private preview.
  • I chose Unlisted or Public and shared the link.
